Members Sought for the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council

The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is seeking qualified applicants to serve on the Palliative Care Interdisciplinary Advisory Council (PCIAC). The Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) executive commissioner will appoint members to the council to serve a term expiring December 31, 2029, or 2030.

Applications are due by 11:59 p.m., October 1, 2026.

HHSC will evaluate applicants based on their qualifications, relevant experience, and interest in serving on the council. The agency also seeks members who reflect the geographic diversity of Texas.

How to apply:

Council members are expected to attend regularly scheduled meetings and participate in subcommittee meetings or other council related activities, as needed.

The council generally meets quarterly in Austin, in a hybrid format, or more frequently at the call of the presiding officer.
