LICENSE FOR USE OF CURRENT PROCEDURAL TERMINOLOGY, FOURTH EDITION ("CPT® ")

You, your employees and agents are authorized to use CPT only as contained in materials on the Texas Medicaid & Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) website solely for your own personal use in directly participating in healthcare programs administered by THHS. Reporting period 4 opened on Sept. 1, 2026, and GA-46 reports are due by Dec. 1, 2026.

Action Required:

Before submitting your GA-46 report, providers must review and update their enrollment record in the Provider Enrollment and Management System (PEMS). If your enrollment record is not current, you may be unable to access or submit your GA-46 report.

PEMS is the primary data source for provider information in the State of Texas Electronic Provider System (STEPS). Data from PEMS syncs with STEPS and updates contract and Primary Entity Contact (PEC) information in the system.

To ensure you can submit reports, follow the STEPS User Guide (.pdf) to update and maintain information in PEMS.

Important Information:

PEC updates from PEMS to STEPS do not appear immediately. Certain updates, such as email changes, take effect immediately, while other updates, such as name changes, require Texas Medicaid and Healthcare Partnership (TMHP) approval and may take additional time to process.
