Update: EVV Proprietary System Operator (PSO) 2024 ORR Session Requests

Last updated on

Providers can apply to be a PSO at any time. TMHP maintains a waitlist of providers who wish to onboard as a PSO. TMHP has limited capacity allocated to support PSO onboarding process. Currently, there is a waitlist of about 300 providers in the queue. TMHP will continue to manage the waitlist and onboard providers as PSOs on a cyclical basis.

Program providers and financial management services agencies that have stated that they want to use an EVV proprietary system will be notified of their Readiness Review selection based on when the PSO onboarding form was submitted.

Providers on the Expedited path will be contacted starting January 15th, 2024, to schedule Planning and Development. Providers on the Standard path will begin Planning and Development on March 18, 2024.

  • The expedited path is for requesting approval to use an existing operational EVV system that HHSC previously approved.
  • The standard path is for requesting approval to use an EVV system that was not previously approved by HHSC.

Here is the high-level schedule for the 2024 PSO Onboarding:

Note: Please note that TMHP has a limited number of slots based on the available capacity. HHSC and TMHP are evaluating the available capacity to determine whether the number of slots can be increased.

Providers must submit a Proprietary Systems (PS) Request Form to be considered for PS approval, as indicated in EVV Portal and Training Updates for the EVV Proprietary System Request Form Effective July 13, 2023.

If you have previously provided a PS Request Form and have validated with TMHP that you are still interested in becoming a PSO, then you are not required to submit an additional form. You will receive additional information once session dates are determined.

A program provider or FMSA must have a developed and compliant proprietary system which meets all HHSC requirements by the Readiness Review begin date.
